Carcorp Australia was established to provide direct assistance to individuals and organisations of the automotive industry.
We offer services tailored to meet the needs and priorities of our clients. Although our clients vary in size and purpose, they share with us a high regard for integrity and a vision of the future. They understand that the search for excellence and the development of a strong industry, is a strategic one.
This combined with trust, confidentiality; open communications and a collaborative working relationship are the basis in forming the most successful long term relationships.
In today’s competitive market we understand the need for timely responses and comprehensive evaluation of situations, so with this in mind Carcorp Australia offer a number of products and resources to both companies and individuals, so as they are able to maximise all opportunities.
We use a form of targeted selection with interviews structured to uncover the key competencies and personal attributes required to match the culture of the organisation to the right candidate. In this way, and through benchmarking we are able to shortlist only those candidates who offer an extremely close match with your requirements.
Outlined below are the service structures for the placement of permanent employees:
Network Search
An assignment is profiled in conjunction with the client to establish the PD (Position Description). Incorporating this brief the most effective methodologies of networking, advertising and candidate screening are used. Typically a combination of advertising and/ or a full data base search are used together to ensure the best quality applicants.
Executive Search
An assignment of this standing is generally adopted for a senior position or for specialised rolls that are under great demand within the industry. Including the same facilities as the “ Network Search “, an “ Executive Search “ also requires substantial advanced networking and often a long term recruiting strategy to locate that one primary candidate.
Carcorp Australia with its unique understanding of many of the motor industries idiosyncrasies has developed a program using techniques designed to differentiate the strengths and weakness that will enable a candidate to successfully excel in a position and those that will not. In many cases the lack of systematic procedure means a candidate is often unaware of what skills are even required to reach the levels of performance that are expected.
The Carcorp Australia training format is focused on first defining core competency and then applying direct actions so as to achieve the maximum ROI’s (return on investment). This is done in two ways:
The Program
C: The CORE COMPETENCY represents activities and key behaviors required to succeed in a position.
A: The ACTION itself, what is required to be said or done.
R: The RESULTS of that action, outcomes and tangibles achieved.
Once the necessary “CAR” focuses have been established a COMPANYCULTURE and MOTIVATIONAL MATCH is then considered. The job activities and responsibilities, the organisation’s mode of operation, values and community in which the person will live and work are consistent with the type of environment that provides personal motivation and satisfaction.
The Process
The process consists of two structured interviews:
THE CLIENT: to establish the exact “CAR” requirements and culture of the position.
THE CANDIDATE: to become aware of the “CAR” and culture expectations of their position.
The key aspects of tailored training are particularly relevant today as it more accurately defines the skills, tasks and initiative that will succeed most in a job, because it uses:
A clear “CAR” of the position
Standardised points of reference
Objective job related criteria
Reliability of procedure
Systems to rate and evaluate responses
Time and tangible result measures
Improving an organisation’s system of investment into its staff training can result in substantial and immediate savings:
Improved performance, clarity of task
Reduced staff turnover
Less poor performers, as result of lack of drive or focus
Building and developing the right team in this economy and labour market can be frustrating. Preparing an overall strategy to meet your company’s needs; by recruiting (finding the right people), training (developing the right people) and team building (keeping the right people) is an absolute must.
Utilising all the tools and resources available will ensure a higher degree of success in a more effective and shorter timeline. In addition to developing individuals’ skills our team building programs are designed to heighten the motivation and culture of the group as a whole. Managing to create working environments, where people want to excel and are proud to spend their future.
Carcorp Australia is able to tailor an extensive range of programs to individually meet the needs of our clients. Some of our most popular programs include:

Carcorp Australia provides consulting solutions to organisations and individuals alike. We offer management expertise in all areas of business, on a small or large scale. After all, the professionals that make up the success of any organisation are individuals first.
Carcorp consultants have both the expertise and experience to manage assignments both effectively and with total confidentiality. Our focus on professional and personal development is represented in the five following dimensions:
Coaching
Coaching is about helping an individual or company to establish a clear understanding of what it is they want. Upon the clarification of direction, the identification process of what is missing must occur. What does the client want, where is the client now, what is missing, how to find it and why will it take then in the right direction. Being able answer these questions are just some of the benefits of having a personal coach, and here are a few more:
• Clarity in setting future goals, and being clear on why we want them
• Establish and understand key motivations
• Plan a directional path for professional and personal aspirations
• Identify and overcome limitations that may be holding back career life
• Build confidence and overcome self doubt issues
• Develop winning attitudes • Re-new effectiveness by defining key focus areas
• Invest in yourself, as it will always be your greatest asset
Our coaching approach or structures are as unique and different as the individual’s requirements. It can be one meeting or an on going appointment. The session can be held in an office, our consulting rooms, a café or even the park. The most important thing is that the coaching structure reflects the needs and requirement of the individual.
Mentoring
A successful mentoring situation generally requires the client and mentor to have established an on going relationship. The greatest role a mentor can play is one of a “sounding board” or giving of a “third parties prospective”. More often than not the problems that are taken to a mentor are taken with a suggested solution or answer also. The combined input of the mentor relationship is used to work out the details. This can become a very powerful tool as the mentor relationship is one based on respect and trust, allowing for situations to be exposed to absolute honesty.
Over a period of time many coaches go on to become exceptional mentors, as they have the opportunity to share history, experiences and develop a relationship with the client. Even now you may have an exceptional mentor waiting in the wings, be sure to give it some thought as it is surely on of the greatest personal development tools you will ever be privileged to have.
Just remember you can never spend too much time on your personal development. After all it’s the most valuable thing you’ll ever invest in; YOU.
Your resume is the equivalent of a 30 second advertisement; the prelude to a coming attraction. This is not far from the truth considering many employers will give the resume less than a minute of undivided attention before classifying it as either REJECT or REVIEW.
Your aim therefore is to make every second count; remember the key to any successful advertisement is to display features and benefits in as time effective a manner as possible.
The bottom line is that “your resume” is often the first and last chance you get at finally having the career you always wanted. Spend time and effort to produce a resume, which shows research of the position, that will grab the viewer’s attention and secure an interview opportunity to market your greatest asset; you.
The Introduction
The first page or covering letter is the introduction of yourself, personal information you may wish to include and the details of the position you are applying for. State your objectives/goals for the future and how it would include this opportunity. The aim is to build the interest to review your resume.
• Keep it short and to the point, heighten the readers interest
• Target a specific individual by name, title and organisation (make sure all information is correct)
• Tailor to the position that you are applying for
• Say why you are the perfect match for the position
• Show features and benefits / strengths and skills that you would bring to the position / organisation
• Mention what will set you apart from other candidates
• No more than one page (less is best)
• Use bullet points to present information
• This is a great way of doing e-mail resumes
The Resume
Every position that you apply for will be different from the last. There is no such thing as the perfect generic resume, so while it may be possible to have a good basis to start from every resume should be modified to maximise its relevance and appeal to each position.
• Resumes should be no longer than four or five pages
• Do your homework on both the position and company before you start
• Keep it to the point, no waffle
• Never exaggerate or state anything that is not the truth
• Tailor every resume to best relate to the desired position
• Supply only the most relevant information, experiences, qualifications and factual data related to the specific position
• Put all employment and educational information in chronological order
• Work history, the more recent the more relevant and reliable
• Avoid long dense paragraphs that make work of extracting the information
• Use presentation formats that make the resume easy to read and follow (e.g. use bullet points, clear headings, a basic font and lots of white space)
• If printing use good quality, white paper and printer
• You may wish to include personal details, this is entirely up to you
• If you have breaks in employment simply state what you were doing
• Long held previous positions should show any promotional or advancement changes
• Referees; indicate the relevance if it is not obvious
• Get referees’ approval prior to giving out their details
The On-line Resume
The advantage of the electronic resume being able to reach the right eyes long before the old hard copy even finds the right suburb is not without its drawbacks. Care must be taken to ensure that the format of the resume is transferable across different types of machines and software. Beware the electronic anomaly as it can turn a great resume into a second rate one in the blink of an email.
• Use common software package formats (e.g. MS Word, HTML or TXT files)
• Always follow up to ensure they were correctly received
• Use a “text” only approach, avoid using attachments
• Make it clear who the email is intended for and what it is in reference too
• Often only limited amounts of text are visible at any one point in time, so plan the presentation layout carefully
• Don’t use photos, downloads or links
• Keep a traditional resume layout, including an introduction
There is an enormous amount of information available on this topic and it is well worth investing the time to develop as impressive a resume as you can. After all; its all about you!
